Looking at tractor house and they list a 2600 White combine, 1992, looks like an R60 or 62. Did they sell these in Canada as Whites, just wondering.

They were sold in the US through White Dealers the R52 is 2500, the R62 is 2600 if I remember right. The Whites had Cummins engines before the Agco Branded ones did.

I located some additional info about these White rebranded gleaner rotary machines.
Built for only 1-2 years 1992-93? Both 2500 & 2600 used the Cummins 6T830, 6TA830, (8.3 505). 2500 rated at 190hp. 2600 rated at 260hp. |

The whole experiment didn't last long. White combines ALWAYS Cummins powered. Allis/Gleaner dealers always got Deutz. Then, they allowed Allis dealers to order either engine. White dealers didn't perform well, so the whole idea of two brands died along with Deutz engines.

My uncle had a 2600 that was re-decaled as an R-62. The tag wasn't changed. My Uncle is long passed, and he traded it for a newer R-62. It is still in the neighborhood and when the sunlight hits it just right, you can see the White decals under the Gleaner ones.
Also, i've noticed recently the sales literature for these White branded combines has increased in value.
