We got about a foot here outside of Springfield IL. Just got in from my second session of moving it around with the 1026 JD. Man that stuff is heavy. Almost like white out conditions now.

Old gal decided she had to go to some darn home show in Des Moines today. Got about a mile from home and the deep snow got in around the serp belt, tossed it off. It took me about 3 hours total, of scraping snow, pulled the Right front tire, fumbling around with the dam belt, etc etc just to get the dam thing back on. Then got in the plow truck, was stuck more that moving so I parked it and got on the skid loader, of course no enclosed cab. Another 3 hours and still have a heck of a mess. No drifting but still over 2' deep in spots. Most of it was around a foot deep, cold very wet crap. Dam I hate snow. Wood stove is putting out good heat, and got a show about Johnny Cash on PBS. Hoping you all are having better luck than I am.

Dang Tom, keep your feet up tonight, tomorrow's another day. Pretty calm around here. The big dog just loves the stuff, both of them.

Dale you got it wound up and went into overdrive with that machine last night, didn’t you😼. It started about dark yesterday and we got about 4” by morning out here in the east. I think down in StupidCity they were to have gotten a foot or more. Although it’s good to see that your machine is running out of gas from working it so hard😸.

If it was fun to pull in LOW gear, I could have a John Deere.
If you can't make it GO... make it SHINY |

Bout 6-8" down here, below brawltimore. Hadda hook up the k'boter to a rear blade, in da middle of the storm, way the blade was sittin, hadda hook it up back'ards, then back down and up 1000 feeta driveway. At first couldn't unnerstan why it was spinnin so much, till i figgered out that I had knocked it outta 4wd, cause the lever is so close to da lift lever. Took about 45 cold minnits to do the driveway, after the blade hookup. Sure wished I had the D-10 hooked up to the v blade...

Ted, I had that decal made, it just touches the top and bottom defroster line which is 19" corner to corner, and it's see thru. At first I thought I should have put it behind the drivers seat but it does take the shine off these new brighter than the sun headlights plus, I use it to line up to my gooseneck trailer. As for the dogs, the wife's little white one doesn't really like the snow that much, it sticks to her hair and she comes in twice her weight. The Newfie on the other hand, is a year old, the snow just falls off him, he runs around sticking his face in the snow up to his ears all the time.
