By any chance does anyone know where the fuel cutoff would be for the LPG D17? I have a copper line going from the LPG tank directly into the ensign regulator/converter.  Here is a picture of the unit.

The fuel shut off is the valve on the tank

There is a valve inside the regulator that shuts fuel from regulator to engine.      MACK

Haha. Yes I know where the tank valve is. I meant the fuel shutoff valve that only opens when the engine is cranking via vacuum. Sorry I should have been more specific.

So it's inside that dang regulator eh?

If something is wrong in the converter/regulator parts for the ensign are made of unobtainium..unless you can find a LP dealer that might have some old stock laying around

So I've heard.  According to the service manuals diagram of the ensign converter it seems pretty basic.  Luckily I have the capability to make parts and or have parts made that I need SO im hoping I can accomplish that.  After reading the service manual I believe that the low pressure valve is leaking due to debris since the previous owner did a filter delete... SMH....

Do yourself a favor and change it over to an Impco regulator and carburetor. I have a couple tractors both the original Ensign and Impco and the Impco are easier starting and run better.

If you need any parts or advice call Dave or Phil at Carb and Turbo at 952-445-3910. They are in the Twin Cities and are very helpfull. They are the official tech reps for Impco and are great guys.
