 Topic: Rear remote question

Hey all, new to the forum. I have a question about remote on my D15 series II. I did a search but nothing came up. Behind the seat on the left there is a single disconnect on a block with a external tube and a internal hose coming in from the bottom inside the housing. What is it for and if I wanted to use it to add a shift valve, where would hook up the return?

D15 is like a D14 so... that single disconnect has 3500# oil for 'remote'. the block it goes into is for the 'rockshaft' cylinder, the internal ram that lifts the arms. There should be a 'pipe plug' on the left side of the casting you undo and use as the return for a 2 way cylinder. need to know that the lift arms will raise up first THEN whatever you've plumbed into the 'remote' least that's how the D14 does it. You can replumb with a 'bypass' valve setup, those lucky to have it will chime in...

If you follow that existing steel line, you will find it connects underneath the fuel tanks sediment bowl area. In that same area is a pipe plug that takes an allen wrench to remove. That is your return port. Mount a simple 2-way valve to the left of the seat. Have a hydraulic hose on the 2-way valves "inlet" port and plug it into the single hydraulic outlet coupler you now have. The return (out) port of the valve then needs a hose to go down under the left platform and connect to the return port on the side of the torque housing. To use the 2-way valve, you raise your lift/lower lever to the top and lock it. Use the handle on your new 2-way valve to operate any 2-way cylinder @ 2,200 psi. When using one-way A-C cylinders or the lift arms, unplug the hose from your existing single outlet coupler.

Single action remote cylinder(s). DA cyls can be made into SA, by removing 1 hose, and installing a breather, in place of the 2nd hose. These cyls are pressure up, and gravity down. If you buy a cyl, for these tractors, make sure it has 3500 psi capability, otherwise the Allis pump will blow the seals out...
