Have discovered a New Holland(Sperry Rand) self propelled haybine, model 1100 with a four cylinder Perkins engine.  Wasn't able to locate any data plate to determine what specific model it may be, but has many features that resemble the 170-175 engine.  Would appreciate any body with knowledge if this would work in above mentioned models as this unit is  being scrapped and runs, starts and sound very good and has approximately 2400 hours on the tach

Should be a good little engine - Have one in my AC 715 Backhoe and had been good , I had a NH 785 skid steer with a Perkins also and was a good runner - tried a JD which was suppose to be the same as the NH but with a jap engine JD sold - piece of junk as far as power and handling - the Perkins had the right weight to balance machine

When I was in high school, one of my classmates had an early 50's Chevy with a Perkins diesel.  Not sure how fast it was but it sure sounded like an airplane when he opened the exhaust dumps.

New Holland built the skid steer for John Deere for several years but used the JD/Yanmar engine.
