 Topic: OT - MF560 round baler

I got an older MF560 round baler (Vermeer 605C) that I'm replacing a few bearings & flanges. I have the parts book prints from AGCOpartsbook.com, but wondered if anyone has a cross referencing for the AGCO part numbers. I called AGCO and they quoted me $176 each for 843269M1. I had to torch the bad bearing to remove them, so no National or Fafnir numbers could be seen on OEM pieces. Any help is appreciated. AGCO part # 843269M1 bearing, 843505M1 cast flange for 843269M1 bearing, 843272M1 bearing assy with collar, 843270M1 bearing assy with collar.

Vermeer dealer will be cheaper than AGCO. But they will more than likely have to order them because that is a very old baler.

I'm not sure on a MF Baler, but any bearing on our Vermeers have been available at Napa or Fastenal stores. I remember that being a big selling point for Vermeer. I recomend requesting Timken /SKF or better(Dodge if you have $$) and sometimes have to wait a day full or those. Best of luck, Kevin

Thanks - I could not get any of the AGCO part numbers to reference at napaonline.com . Maybe I need a Vermeer part number? Anywhere online to find Vermeer part numbers?

The bearings are stamped very small on the flat faces most of the time-- note that Massy, Agco, Vermeer does not manufacture bearings to my knowledge. The logo, and number is stamped on all roller bearings I have ever observed. Most of the time you can also find the country of orgin as well. Bearings are shown by type, shaft size, width, and OD on most manufacture charts.

I have a MF1560 baler and it is the same as the Vermeer F. I think it has 3 different bearings. Most are 1.5” sealed bearings which can be purchased anywhere. The inside roller bearings I get from Vermeer and there are little bearings on the pickup that run in the track to make the teeth work I also get from Vermeer. I have a good dealer that keeps lots of parts

Main roll shaft bearings are Vermeer part #212-001 which are Link-Belt225-E (Vermeer's bearing in box) " W2224ELK97 (Don't remember where I got that number)

I tried to find cheap good bearings and went back to Vermeers Link-Belt
bearings. When they start failing, you can squirt oil on them or if
you can squeeze some grease in and are able to finish the field... The
really cheap bearings have plastic spacers inside and as soon as the
bearing gets hot enough to melt the plastic, your done cuzz the balls
drop out. Some other bearings are cheap in the materials and fail.
Another thing with the locking collar bearings is, you have to have a
good shaft and bearings go on with a snug fit and the locking collar
will work correctly. I have welded shafts up and had them turned down
to size, lot cheaper than buying another roller.

I couldn't agree more. Thats where I'm at a loss. Like I said, I had to torch what was left of the both bearings off the shaft, so there was no stamped info to read on either of them.

Thanks. What you said kind of explains what I found. I was impressed with the parts of the bearings I torched off. I was prepared to be build up shaft (weld up, then machine down) the worst bearing which lost all of it's balls, I thought it may have wore into the shaft. To my surprise, it was still riding on the it's inner race (a good 1/4" thick), so shaft was fine. Both bearings had a wide inner race integrated to their collars (inner race & collar where one piece). I was able to save both bearing's cast housings. They're 2 bolt greasable housing part numbers (FX3-U 223M-O DU60). It has grease groove positioned on back side of housing (flange side). Can't find anything online from the housing part numbers though. Among the pieces of salvaged bearing races, I was able to figure out the following info; Inner bearing race ID 1.25", Inner bearing race width ~1.76" Outer bearing race spherical with OD 3.835", Outer bearing race width .76" with 2 grease holes 180 degree apart positioned on side opposite the collar (back side). Besides trying AGCO, the closest thing I could locate was part SNPS104RR at Shoups. But their specifications were vague. So, I called them and Chuck in customer service who was nice enough to pull this bearing from their shelves, along with it's mated T72R case bearing housing so we could compare measurements. Grease grooves were opposite OEM for both bearing & housing. Bearing only had one grease hole, not 2. Going to try contacting the closest Vermeer dealer tomorrow.

Following up. Called a Vermeer dealer today. They have part # 17325 @ $57 each, which is the OEM Link Belt bearing(same as AGCO 843269M1 1.25"ID bearing). Thanks everyone for your replies & suggestions.
