Now that I have the 41 C running I need to put some road bands on her. The county frowns on tearing up their roads with the steel wheels. What all do you guys use for this? I had some 1/4" X 6" flat steel rolled to fit the outside diameter of the wheel but need to put some rubber on the steel. I was thinking about attaching snowmobile track to the steel bands but that is hard to come by in these parts. Another thought is the rubber pads for a track layer excavator but can't find any that are narrow enough. They need to be 6" or less in width. Thoughts?

Just cut the sidewalks out of old tires.use the tread as road bands. We did grandpas F20 many years ago. Old tires and carriage bolts to attach them to the steel wheels. It would have looked better if we would have had matching tread but it worked well.
