The remote cables seem pretty stiff, called local Agco dealer and was told they are $220 a piece. Is there anything available aftermarket? Or do I have to live with stiff cables?
Thanks

check with A&I, they have the same part #'s as AGCO, and that is where AGCO buys theirs. they are cheaper thru them, i bought a couple a few years ago thru them. don't remember the prices but was quite a bit difference

There is another option.

In Canada, a store called Princess Auto (maybe like Harbor Freight in the US?) has pto control cables for about $40.00 each which I have used and work great!

They may be called a push/pull cable and come in different lengths. Its larger diameter (1/4") allows it to move easier. It will take a bit of modification due to the jam nuts on the cable ends but is highly worth it. Princess Auto had the ball joints to go on the ends too. Its one of those jobs you'd wished you had done sooner.

Let me know if you want pics.

Leon, like johnkc said, try some truck service places. I got a throttle cable for a 7045 and a clutch cable for a 7020 made at Crossroad Truck Equipment in Effingham Il. Only 10 miles from me but was a lot cheaper than Agco. You probably have someplace close to you that does the same thing..

Thanks for all the replies. I found an Inland Truck Center that's only half an hour from me. I called them and he said bring it in and he should be able to match it up. He thought ballpark, $50. I'll find out and post in a couple of days.

That is where we buy remote cables, they have most of them, a few we still get from AGCO.  That being said, we have just about replaced every cable on all but two of our 70xx series tractors.....guess it is time to buy more cheap projects!!  LOLLOLLOL
