I see that Allis's main warehouse was in Batavia. Is the current AGCO warehouse at the same address? I was looking at it on Google, and see out behind the place looks like some shelving, and also scrap? What do they store outside?

I have a Batavia story: My cousin lived in Itasca and was a solid AC man. WHen they closed Batavia he went there and saw 5 CA engines in crates. He tried to buy them. THey would not sell them as they said they were already sold for scrap.

Joe, do you have an address? My sister lives there. I knew it was around there someplace, but I could never find it.

It's my understanding that the Batavia parts where house was one of Allis Chalmers newest buildings and there fore one of the few that survived the transition to Allis Gleaner Co

Trying to figure out what is below that site. Some sort of junk yard maybe? Zoomed in but not enough detail for me. Edited by Stan R - 07 Apr 2018 at 6:49am |
