the d17 has a henry loader on it and it only had 1 original tilt cylinder (that has a bit of rust pit on the chrome). it came with 2 other cylinders but they are about 6" to long.  I thought I could just move were the pins are on the bucket, but they would be right above were the bottom pins are? money is tight, so should I get a new cylinder for the one side and use the old one till I can save up for another new one?  I could have a shop cut the other two cylinders I got down and make them fit. I found a cylinder at rural king for $180 that should fit but don't know if it's the right pressure? 2500psi? I ain't no hydro specialist...lol Thanks dt

Pull cylinder apart ,check what it would  cost for hyd. shop to make rod. Turner hyd. in Carlisle Pa. made some for me over the years. Never hurts to check .They will even match u up for packing's . Unless   u have time to look for some thing else and make that work .

http://www.baumhydraulics.com has a great collection of cylinder parts and new cylinder sizes although Surplus Center generally has better prices.

What makes you think you need to redesign it to have two cylinders. if it was designed with one cylinder the bucket will be stressed for that, simply adding two force points at locations that weren't designed for it doesnt make for a stronger bucket just one that's easier to break.

it was supposed to have 2 tilt cylinders, for some reason he took the one off and some how lost it, so he bought 2 to replace them. when I got the tractor and went to change them I found they were to long.

series 1. gotta say these henry loaders are a bit odd to me, not saying anything bad about them. just seems to be a lot more pins and such than there needs to be?
