Been a while since I posted here lol. Anyway, I'm basically restoring the interior of the cab on my 7060. Got a new dash as mine is all cracked up and that's what started this whole ordeal. Just about to pull the right door to clean and paint the inside of that but I belive the cab needs the front cab mounts, cab is loud and sounds like the cab it hitting something resonating sound. I have the floor pan out and both the lower shields off the dash.
Do I just jack the front of the cab up to get at the isolators? I can see the one but the two outers I just took the short 1/2" bolt out. Thanks |

There are two front left isolators (above the fuel tank) and one right front (above the front battery). To fix one correctly, install TWO on the right side just like the left side. Why the Engineers only used three total is beyond me, especially when moldboard plowing, the tractor leans hard to the right all day long. To fix it really, really correctly, install two more on the rear frame area directly under the seat. You don't even need to bolt them in. Just place them in the proper location and when the cab is set back down they are trapped and can't go anywhere. With four new ones on the front and two new ones in the middle, it will be more quiet than ever......that is assuming the rear axle isolators are good.

So I pulled the bolts and tried to jack the cab up and it won't go. You mentioned on above the fuel tank, I can't see it. Do I need to drop the tank to get to it? I see the one on the left close to the dash. Can see it from above but can't pop it up. Does it come out from the bottom? What am I missing here?

Also, how hard is it to put the rear isolators in? Just undo the bolt through em and jack the cab up and put them in? Debating just doing them too

I did the cab mounts on a black belly unit. I pulled the center floor piece out, easier to see things. There are crossmember bolts on the front floor and back by the seat. I had to loosen up some linkage on the T handle shifter, wouldn't go high enough. Biggest issue I remember is the left front side there is a brace welded on the floor that hit the clutch return spring. I had to loosen up that assembly to get the cab high enough to push the mounts in on that side. Right was easy. They were so bad it was wearing holes in the brake lines that ran under the cab. I replaced the rear ones also. They are pretty easy, if I remember it was just a bolt runs through the center of them.

The second mount bolt on the left is under the cab. I know some have cut a hole in the floor to get at it. I didn't, I was able to loosen it up a little at a time after removing the bolts on the cab floor to the crossmember, raise the cab a little off the crossmember. I just don't like the extra holes in things if I don't have to.
