It looks like a reworked 10SI. There should be a stud where it is labeled "R". You'd have to know how many poles it has before you'd know if it would work correctly with the tach. I'm leery of the fact that the stud you'd connect the tach wire to isn't there.
Edit: It isn't a one-wire alternator. I looked at the link. That alternator uses a remote regulator. Edited by DougS - 23 Jan 2018 at 9:14pm |

Doug S., the black oval on the back end of alternator is for the mechanical cable driven tach it appears to have a rubber cap over that to keep dirt out till you get it installed... and there is an R cast in the housing for the flat clip that GM used but that slot is covered with some black cover or plug... the old alternators had a stud that was used for ground.
Yes, I seen down in the writing that an external regulator was needed but they don't have a place to hook up an external regulator wire in the pic, other than where it has the R and F at on the housing. This one looks like the old delco and is 32 amps... but in the descript, it says one wire. don't think the listers are being to accurate on the descriptions.http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-ALTERNATOR-FITS-ALLIS-CHALMERS-TRACTOR-180-185-190-190XT-200-6-301-508552M92/121914442755?_trkparms=aid%3D555018%26algo%3DPL.SIM%26ao%3D2%26asc%3D49917%26meid%3D56de638c92824fdc809e927fd7ee99cd%26pid%3D100623%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D6%26sd%3D222447852582&_trksid=p2047675.c100623.m-1 |

I recently rewired my 175 and bought a one wire alternator with mechanical tach drive that works well. Give me a day to find the bill and I’ll post the info. I have a new volt gauge on it and it works well.

The unit in the top pic is an "SI" series internal regulated Alternator with 940/.670 mainshaft with optional tach drive. The bottom pic is a "DN" series external regulated Alternator with the 832/.670 mainshaft with tach drive option. The bottom unit is NOT a one wire unit. The top one is a one wire unit. The bottom one needs an external VR to control output. The "SI" unit up top would be the better choice either way, but using it as a three wire would be the way to fly... HTH

Ok it took me awhile but I found the catalog. I bought a one wire alternator with tach drive from Meridian Equipment. 360-398-2141. Works perfect with my 175 stock tach.
They have a website but you have to do a search for alternator to find it. $95.
