I have always wanted a factory rops/canopy for my XT. I have not found one in my search. While at the PA farm show a company called Iron Bull had ones for Deere, International, Oliver, Massey. They are super nice units per factory specs. They presently do not offer AC, but a gentleman called me today to ask what model tractor was I asking about? So I explained to him that I belong to this forum and would put out a post asking if anyone is interested in having one made and for what model? They are expanding their model line next year and if there is enough interest AC would be added. They are going to start producing Ford rops this year. Their display was very impressive. Top quality welds, and paint. Made for vintage tractors in the 60’s, 70’s, and maybe the 80’s.

The ad says NOT certified roll over protection, so,,, its just a mount for a shade canopy....
So if ya just want a shade canopy..I guess their ok..but by looking at the prices,, a true rollover/canopy can be had for bout the same money.... |

We currently are making them for the 170/175, 180/185 tractors. Planning on making them for the 190 and 200 series in the future.

My guess to be roll over certified they would have to roll a few tractors. That would be costly. The rep I spoke to said they were made per the factory specs. That’s good enough for me since the manufactures verified them many years ago. Good point though.
If anyone has an origional for sale please contact me. |

Ya..I can understand that.. I do like the looks and function of the 'rollover canopy' much better than a buggy type shade..always enjoyed the canopy top on our 3020 and now my 4020 jd's..specially in the summertime |

They had a booth at the VA Farm Show and I'd say they are as heavy built or heavier than the certified roll bars I've seen.Wife and I both registered in the drawing to win a free one for an Oliver would love to have one for one of the 1550's. |

Gary I hope you win it, the Oliver canopy would look really nice on your 1550.
Again, I am Looking to see if there is interest in these to give them some data in case they decide to build them. They are not asking for any commitment, just asking to see if there is interest in them. |

Tell him to go and try to find an AC ROPS/canopy and IF he finds one try to buy it. That would be all the market research he would have to do.
I purchased the crosspiece for the 160 from All Orange (WI). Built heavy, perfect fit. He should post some pics. I also have a canopy from Heitman. Again, built right, perfect fit.

Good morning from south FL. I realize that you are suppose to be seated, with a seat belt fastened properly; but, can you still stand up and drive the tractor? These roof units appear to be very low. I like the option of operating my 190XP III from the standing position at certain times. Ross.

Guess they need to make them so the height is adjustable I like a low canopy so I get more shade, less rain and snow on me. |

ILGLEANER should be able to tell us since he has one. I agree, I like to stand occasionally as well. Matt, if your reading the thread I know you have one also. Good question.

I have a 200 with the rops and canopy, im 6'1" and have to be hunched over pretty good to stand and drive. Really love the shade it gives while using the tractor, it will keep a gentle rain off you for the most part. Its pretty heavy as the frame is solid pieces of steel and the gussets at the top corners are cast. Noise resonance is the worst problem with them. I bought some foam from fehr several years ago to put under the canopy but havent got around to gluing it on there yet.

Just thinking about it the seat frame on my 200 does not raise and rock back like the one on our XT. Which makes driving It while standing hunched over more challenging yet.The suspension on the 200 looks more like that of a 7000 series, dont know if all 200's are like that or not?
