Was wondering where people have a good luck with rebuild kits have a D17 engine that I’m rebuilding and need a kit for every place I have found doesn’t tell the compression ratio the pistons have been made too

If you get a Reliance/Powermax kit they list their compression ratios. I know from checks I did, that the D17 kit is the correct 7.25 ratio

Last i checked agco didnt have any kits left. But that was a couple years ago. They need to see orders placed before making a new batch. I believe power max was making the kits for them. Go ahead and try to order a kit for a 175 tractor(same engine but higher compression).

And dont confuse an agco kit with a different kit that the agco dealer tries to sell you. They will try to sell you a reliance kit if the agco ones are not availiable. You would be paying them to be the middle man. If going reliance get it from a seller on here.

I have had a couple of engines rebuilt with Reliance kits, no problems so far!
