According to tractor data.com they were made in 1975??. I tried to post a link to the page but this iPad isn't cooperating. They also say 620's were made 1973-1975. Lots of good info on that site.

Got the link.

They were made until at least 1980, based on the literature and price lists.  Probably hung around for a year or two after production ended, in dealerships as well.

The 720 has two recognized varieties.  The early 720s had the light front spindles that the 620's used.  The late 720's had the heavier type.

Additionally, there were two variations of the late 720.  The earlier of the two had a black front axle.  The later, an orange front axle and a shifter safety lock.

Am I right that the early 720's have a black grill and the later 720's have a white grill.

Mike, I haven't actually seen an original paint 720 with a white grill, in photos or in the literature.  I know the late 720's were black for sure.  I have seen early 720's with a white grill, like the 620, but I cannot say for sure if that was retouched or not.  Most appear to be painted tractors.  It's possible some came white...there are lots of little variations on these that take some time to spot.  I do prefer the white, personally.  Overall, I think the 616 is the sharpest looking Wink

I've had (7) 720's, (5) with black grills and (2) with white grills. Go figure.

I am also interested in a price as sold new? Would be helpful in asking price of a nice one for sale. As always it depends upon how bad someone wants one,
