I need to remove a pulley on my Gleaner F to replace a bearing that went bad. I wanted to check on here first to see if there is any special steps I needed to take. It is the pulley on the right hand side as you're sitting in the seat that has two belts come down around it it is below one fan and in front of another fan goes through the combine and runs a chain on the left hand side at operates the sieve cam. It looks to be that it has a spring-loaded clutch built on the end of it any help is appreciated.
Thanks
Adam

With a puller, remove pulley. If bearing is apart, with a soft punch drive old race on in out of the way. If bearing is together, use a torch to cut old bearing off shaft. Clean shaft good before putting new bearing on.    MACK

Yes bearing has no balls left. I never considered driving it on and to get it out of the way that's a good idea.

I have done them just like Mack said, one thing I do before driving the old bearing in on the shaft is clean the shaft first makes the old bearing move on in easer.

NICKIA,how many hands do you have?? LOL Big smile I have read of guys using an air hammer on several forums lately, would he rattle on the pulley or the end of shaft? We had an F 11 years ago but i don't recall changing that bearing so not sure how much room he has to work with. We did change/out the bearing behind seperator clutchCry ,THAT WAS NOT FUN AT ALL!!

I have not had a chance to work on it yet. Does anyone know what size of shaft that is 1-1/4 possibly?
