Would like to find a loader for AC720, Simplicity 9020 is very similar (except color?). What other loaders (names & model #) are reasonably modifyable to AC720? Herb(GA)

Thank You, Michael.
Yes, I am going to need some luck to find a loader. I am considering offering to trade an operating snowblower (probably the only one in GA) for a loader. Herb(GA)

Thanks for the photo. That Ark 700 loader on your AC720 sure makes for a desireable package. You included part of an Allis G with snowblower; how about a full side view and how the snowblower is powered. Do you consider that combination as a successful application? Herb(GA)

Thanks Herb, last winter I used a grey market Kubota, loved the tractor but the snow blower had a worm gear manufactured using powdered metallurgy. When the gear was pressed it was formed onto a hub in a way that made replacing just a worn or broken gear impossible. You had to purchase the whole gear box. This is an underhanded trick to fleece the wealth from Baby Boomer's fortunately our parents taught us to be sensible. I sold the Kubota then went in search for older iron. The snowblower you see is attached to a Simplicity 9020, the hood is off because the exhaust pipes I installed to keep cold air from sucking back onto the valves would require that I cut the hood. When I purchased the 9020 the Onan was seized, I have since rebuilt that engine then before finding a good carburetor and getting it installed was offered another complete CCKB Onan. There was two Simplicity dealers local to me and neither had ever sold anything larger than the Landlord. With this information in hand when the Allis 720 came along I snapped her off her feet. Allis 720 came from three provinces over from me, previous owner actually offered to deliver the tractor for a fee that we agreed to. Snowblower is driven from the front PTO attached to the flywheel end of the engine, a belt drops down over a pulley on the mule drive/ Was missing the pto end to the mule drive, when the local dealers could not match up the parts I was beginning to think this was another orphaned project heading to the scrap pile. You fellows running pto equipment will know that pto parts are difficult to find and most of the used stuff is unreasonably priced because of its rarity. Look no further than your Weasler online catalog, what you need is on the series 6 section for lawn and garden. Bellow notice how they've pressed and formed the powered brass worm gear onto that hub. A new gear case for the Orange snowblower is $1800.00. As it is now I'm into a pair of tractors with implements slightly over that amount. Edited by rustydollar - 30 Oct 2017 at 1:26pm |

Yeah, tell me about it. I need the PTO unit for my snowblower. Mike Noonan lent me his so I could show my pto guy, and unfortunately, my pto guy had to run to FL. cause his Mothe went in the hospital so he never gotta' chance to make one for me. Mike sold the snowblower the pto shaft was off of so had to send it back to him. If I didn't have any bad luck, wouldn't have any luck at all! I'll havta' look into this Weasler outfit! Thanks for the info! Maybe my luck will change. You wouldn't happen to have the P/N's you used do ya?
