Depends if it is a G-226 (from a D-17) or a W-226 (from a WD45).  WHAT IS THE ENGINE SERIAL NUMBER BEHIND THE CARB AIR HOSE???

If the is no serial number stamped on the block behind the carb air hose, it has had a replacement block put in it at some time in the past. Replacement blocks thru the parts department were never stamped with a S/N.
