I'm working on a 1948 model B. Can someone explain to me how to convert a 3-brush generator to 2-brush operation so that it will function with a voltage regulator. Thanks.

You could take out the third brush but all it does is limit the charging current. You need to have a voltage regulator for the field winding and that's all it takes. Without the third brush the voltage regulator is the current limiter and includes the cutout that was used with the third brush generator.

Thanks Gerald. I removed the third brush and connect the wire to the "A" brush. It works fine now with a voltage regulator.
