I would like to gather some ideas how people run cabling for planter or baler monitors in and out of the cabs on these tractors. I will be pulling a couple different balers and will need to be able to hook and unhook as easily as possible. I had kinda thought of putting an access hole or door at the left side of the lower rear window. Is there a grommet kit sold by anyone for such purpose? I hate to butcher the cab, so I am looking for advise. Thanks

Are you saying the two plates, one under and one behind the seat are where you are supposed to cut your own opening?

Mine unbolted and allowed me to just set the wires in.
8030 and 8050MFWD, 7580, 3 6080's, 160, 7060, 175, heirloom D17, Deere 8760

What we did with our 8000's, was to remove the plate under the seat, where the flow adjustment rods come through. Once the plate is out, you can cut a hole to fit a 2" schedule 40 steel pipe, with threads on one end. Weld the pipe into the plate, with the threads to the outside. Re-install the plate. Pass your largest connection through first, then the smaller connectors. Stuff foam rubber around the wires, to keep dust out. When not in use, you can cap the pipe off with a threaded pipe cap.

I like the idea, I may use a hole saw, and then a PVC male adapter and coupling, that would achieve the same result without removal for welding. Thanks
