 Topic: 190 lift arms

Having problems with the lift arms staying up...just recently pulled the hydraulic remotes out and replaced one of the units...I know there is a screw on top of the units to set lift arm controls. Is there something else I'm not doing to get the arms to stay up.

Fit of spool to body is all that keeps arms up. A loose fit will let arms down quicker than a good fit spool.
I was told years ago by a AC service man when I ask the same question (the system is a lifting device not a holding device). MACK

some early units had a rate of lower screw, the other screw is a high volume bleed of screw that is a draft assist. As Mack sez neither has anything to do with light arms staying up - You either have a cracked 3 pt valve, a pitted spool or leaky / line/cylinder. IF no leaks, you have two choiced - replace the 3 pt valve or use the position control to keep them up.
