Well, I can't imagine the look on your face if that tractor was hitting on ALL FOUR CYLINDERS !!   and the lack of a carburetor hose will surely finish off the engine in short order.  Don't worry about the exhaust manifold gaskets. The way that sounds it will need a new manifold and the side of the cylinder head machined to fix it.

 It is all most good now, put in a new plug and an air hose.  I have plenty of parts if needed to fix the manifold.
