Hi  Does anyone have the procedure for adjusting the hand clutch on my wd45.  Know most of how to go about it, as i hung around my father who was an ac dealer in the 50s and early 60s.  Been a very long time.  The thing I don't know is which way to move the shims.  Thanks for any help.  Just a thought, this would be a nice addition to the knowledge section.  Thanks again.

To adjust clutch with clutch in tractor. Remove or add shims as required to obtain .065" clearance between clutch plates, with clutch disengaged, adjust shim packs accordingly to maintain an equal clearance all around clutch. 
Effective with WD45 #165036 a three disc clutch is used.
Also mentions to always keep clutch engaged in cold weather or when tractor is not in use.

All the above info is quoted from service manual. I have not done this myself so can't tell you anymore. I'm sure others will tell you more.

All I ever did was take a shim out of each and if it didn't have a tight snap yet, removed one more.

good idea to pack all around the clutch cavity in case you drop a shim or even a bolt.....
