I knew Lonny for years, my uncle bought machinery from him back in the 70's. He actually had a Fox chopper photo shoot where they used my Uncles new 190XT series 3 pulling the chopper, it was the only XT ever made with factory 24.5-32 tires on, and I think that's why they used it, it looked like a beast back in the day. When I was 8 yrs old my uncle brought  me to Lons Implement wearing an old beat up cap, Lonny had a promotion going on where he would trade you even up for a new Allis Chalmers hat, was my first "deal" ! He took the old hat and stapled it on a wall covered with beat up hats, what was neat about the whole thing was when you went to town or an auction you were surrounded by a sea of orange hats!!!

OH NO! Lon was a good guy. I only spoke to him over the phone once, but he was very knowledgeable about anything Allis. It seemed like any Allis guy in NE WI knew who he was. He will be missed.
