Have any of you guys installed A&I Products spindles P/N A-70237434 on an early D17 (5 bolt hub)?  We just bought two to replace very badly worn ones and the new ones are about 3/8" longer.  The dealer is saying just add additional thrust washers.  We can do that but just does not seem right.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks,
Aaron(IN)

Are you sure the bottom is not worn off the knees? I have a 175 that the spindles float about 1/2"....was a loader tractor and don't think the previous owner owned a grease gun....
