I&T book calls one of the gaskets a, lead gasket, and my gasket set just has paper gaskets. AGCO parts doesnt mention a lead gasket. Did they discontinue the lead gasket?
Thanks Randy

Lead is one of them 'bad' things...sigh... too many regultions concerning it, so it was 'time to get the lead out'......

The 'paper' ones will work fine.

I think lead was used as it was 'thick and soft' so would conform and fill any small voids or machine 'grooves'. If you 'polish' the mating surfaces real good, paper will be fine. If you really, really wanted to , you could add two gaskets made from soda cans, with paper in the middle, sandwich style...
