Where can I get a full gasket set for a G-262? Diesel sets seem to be plentiful but gas sets are hard to come by without paying over 300. Can I get a diesel set and then just get a separate gas engine head gasket or are there other things different? Engine is a G-230 with a G-262 head

I needed one for a D 15 engine for a fork lift which is different than the tractor D 15 engine gasket set.  After calling my 4 AGCO dealers that usually can get most of these items and could not find a set, I went to my local NAPA and asked.  They ordered it in and the search was over.  So I guess I'm saying, try NAPA (ours is very friendly with these older engines so your NAPA my not have the same results).   Den

Own 4 wheel 20, 2-5015, 5020 and associated equipment and 2 electric forklifts.

Napa does have a full set but its for a diesel. They only have a head set for gas engines as long as head gasket is the only thing different ill just get both of those.

Try Minn-par parts, they have many hard to get AC parts if Norm Meinert can't get it.  815-238-4506
.

Most problems can be solved with the proper application of high explosives.

Off the top of my head the only different gaskets would be the head and intake/exhaust manifold... The front cover or adapter plate may be different depending on application... Is the water pump on the block or head? You could also try www.agcopartsbooks.com and compare the gaskets on a D19 as it is the only tractor that used the G262 and the D262...

The inner gasket is probably the same between the D230 and the G262, but I doubt the outer gasket between the plate and the cover is the same. I'm not sure you can use the D230 adapter plate with the G262 governor without some modifications...
