I have a 210 with electrolysis that I'm going to be putting a different engine in. I like keeping things original, but I have a 3500 series block that I could do a full overhaul on. My other option I have is a low hour 3750 out of a n5 combine. My question is, what would it do to the value of the tractor if I went the 3750 route? I've been going back and forth so I would like some other opinions. I will probably paint the tractor afterwards.

Plan on selling?Plan on selling to a purest? Just gonna keep for your own use? I'd put the combine engine in it but that's me.I don't git rid of nothing.

You could use the engine that's in your 210 and rebuild it that would keep it original and correct. We remove the sleeves and bore out the bottom of the block and install a repair sleeve. Then we push in new sleeves. This is a common problem and have repaired many AC blocks this way. Remember to install a coolant filter.

I agree. After you rebuild your 3500, you'll know exactly what you have. Save the 3750 for something bigger like 7080, 7580...

I'm kind of a purist and a hot rodder at the same time. Have a D-21 and 210 with original engines but my 220 has a newer 3500 MK II engine and I've changed the water pump and added an intercooler. It's my 220 XT that you may have seen in OAN.
Nothing is impossible if it is properly financed

I'm not sure if I'm going to sell it or not. I saved this tractor from going to the scrap. I didn't want to see it get parted out either because it was somebody's pride as they put a chrome stack and air cleaner on it and put a name on it. I've held onto this 3750 for 4 years now and just hate seeing it set in the shed with 1500 hours. But I think I'm going to continue with the plan on rebuilding the 3500.

If it has 2-sleeve O-rings (which it probably does) just overhaul it and the new sleeves will have 3-Orings. Block will be OK.
