Seems I remember reading somewhere that you could replace the packing. I have tightened it but it won't stop seeping around the nut. where do you get the packing, and could someone please explain the procedure?? thanks tractorboy so va.

Probably be easier and less frustrating to go buy a whole new bowl assembly. We have TSC and Family Farm and Home here and they both carry the whole unit.

I've found that teflon tape twisted into a string and installed there seals very well when the original packing is shot.

Stuff the Teflon tape into the nut. Won't have to tighten very tight.
