    Posted: 09 Dec 2016 at 10:27am

Hey Guys,,I need some help with figurin the AGCO Parts Books,,,,,,
When you click on a line you want to look at,, it brings up the pic of the particular section you want to look at,,,,but it's way too small for these old tired eyes,,so I click on the  "+" magnifying glass,,,and it will make the diagram bigger but also moves it to top of the screen where you can't see the detail at top of page,,,if you click on the "-",, it brings it back to center but also too small again,,,,,
HOW do you enlarge the diagram and Keep it CENTERED on screen,,,????
   THANKS for any help.

It is a little weird how it work. Can you zoom in your Internet Browser? Then you can use your scroll bars to move around.

Place your curser just above and to the right of the portion of the drawing you wish to magnify. Then left click and hold it while you move the curser to the left and then down and it will make a box which gets bigger or smaller depending on how you move the mouse.  When  the box is right size and in the right area for what you want to see let off the mouse button the area in the square will be all you can see, magnified and centered.  Hard to explain and takes a bit of practice.

I always have that problem, too. But next time I need to use agco parts books, I'll have forgotten everything I just read here, and won't be able to find this post to help me out. Darrel

There is a "Map" tool that I use.

All the way to the right of the magnifying glass is a globe with a plus sign.

Click on that, and a small image will appear with a red box in it showing what you are looking at.

Then when you zoom in or out, you can move the red box to the area of the image and see what you want.

Cheers
John

Joe, besides using what Butch said, which is exactly how you do it, the lines on the right of the index and the line on the left of the parts numbers, you can move these by getting the cursor right on the line.  A different split thing will appear and then you LEFT click and HOLD and drag those lines to the right or the left to make things bigger or smaller.  You can make the picture area bigger and then you use the method that Butch has stated.  Works like a charm!!  All you need is a steady hand and I'm sure you've got one of them........
Clear as mud?  Let us know how you come out Friend......

One can use the "print" icon.  that generates a pdf that is easy to manipulate or even,   print.

After zooming in, right click and hold and you get the tool to move enlarged image around to the areas you want to see.   Mike

I just use the click and drag box to magnify what I want. Like said it takes a little getting used to, but you can do it!

Trying to look for Glencoe cultivator parts and Agco freezes after I click on a part. It says wait for site or cancel I have left it run a 1/2 hour and still nothing. I am entering as a guest. The Confuser is not working up to normal ether so is it my end or would it work better as a user?

It doesn't come up with a pdf for me??

Your computer has to have a "printer" that generates the PDF.
A free one is > CutePDF Writer <  (sometimes ya wonder how the programmers come up with names, but it works)

http://www.cutepdf.com/

It does not have popup ads or time constraints.  Very clean & simple.

Download onto your computer; it should set itself up as a "printer" choice.

Once it has, then you only need to select it to "print" the PDF and save it someplace on your computer....it prompts you for location/name
IIRC, probably need Adobe Acrobat too if it's not already on your computer.

Check with grandchild.

YEA,,YEA,,,yea,,,this turned out to be a great sharing of ideas from several Guys,,,and I can NOW work the AGCO drawings to where they are a great help. What I would like to do is summarize to have all the suggestions on one post to help others,,,who tend to forget this sort of stuff like ole Ted,,,,,,and,,,ME,,,!!!Wink

When I want to "quote somebody's post,,I usually Rt click on message and "copy",,,and "paste",,,but that just lets you get just ONE quote,,,I see others be able to insert several quotes at a time,,,SOOoooo,,,how do you'all do it,,,???

I go up to the "Post Options" (upper right on page,,,,,next to "Thanks", "Quote" and "Reply") and LEFT click on "Post Options" and when the menu comes up, "Post Reply"  "Quote desertjoe" and "Report Post"  I use the scrolling wheel on my mouse to "Quote desertjoe" and it opens into a new window.  You can do this to as many posts as you want to answer.  I've done quite a few at times....
If you don't have a scrolling wheel on your mouse, get back to me and I'll walk you through another way to do it.
After you have all those windows opened, you can just start with the first one.  You can reply right then, or do it after you paste it back to the original page.  I think it's easier if I do it right away.  Then you just cut and paste the whole thing back to the original page.  Now just hit "Enter" a couple of times and do the next window the same way, then the 3rd and so on.
Then after you have all of them done, just hit "Post Reply" and bingo there you are......

Clear as mud??

I got no idea how old the hardware is. "I know nothing". I got a kid that decided I needed to be part of the modern world, fixed up a old computer for me in 06. Then I joined all the other tractor porn misfits, and stumbled into here.

Windows has been having fits opening for almost 2 weeks. A week ago windows and firefox  will not connect so been using chrome. The "kid"(36) works computer tech for a university and is a hour drive from my place is suppose to come tune things up. The question is when, but I don't need parts that quick ether.
