 Topic: 500 loader pump hookup

got a 200 that we put a 500 allis loader on and right now it runs off the outlets on the back and wondering if there is a way to hook it straight up to the pump so i can put a set of valves in the cab, trying to deal with the detents makes it difficult to use and all the hoses are rotten so everything is getting replaced anyways, and i dont want to run a pto pump since it doesnt have live pto

I don't know the 200 but if you can find the hydraulic line feeding the current control valves you just take the line off the valve bank plumb it into your new valve inlet then plumb the outlet of the new valve into the inlet of the original valve and everything will work. They are open center meaning that oil is always flowing from the pump through the valve to the tank regardless of if you use the hydraulics or not so you can run as many open center control valves as you want in serries. I have three different control valves plumbed like this on my d15 with a loader works great.

You will need an open center valve with power beyond. I have one on my 190XT which is the same as a 200.

there's a "Farmhand" pump, valves, hoses, tank, all on auction at Big Iron, I think when they are on the tractor, you can still use the PTO for other things too.

Go to surplus center buy an open center joystick loader control valve you will be very happy you did. I have one on my d15 because you couldn't reach the loader frame valve that was there while sitting in the seat or I couldn't my arms are just too short I guess but the joystick on a loader is great.

I put a joystick control on my 180, follow the hydraulic line that feeds the remotes from the pump, mine had a junction just at the battery box where I split it, added two JIC fittings to run to and from lines from the stick control. I have full loader control with all the remotes.

Open-center valve with "power-beyond" feature. If you don't have a power beyond type valve, it will explode when you place it in-between the pump and the tractors hyd valve stack.

It would be nice if someone could post a diagram of how to best add a joystick loader valve to the hundred series tractors, and still be able to use the rear remotes. Thanks Tracy

Normal installation usually has a steel line going from the hyd pump to the tractors hyd valve stack. Instead of that routing, you go from the hyd pump to the inlet of the correct type loader valve. Then, from the power beyond port (outlet) of the correct type loader valve to the tractor hyd valve. However you want to get the oil to travel this way is up to you (hoses, steel lines, combination of both), as each tractor model has different lines and connection points. Mount the new loader valve in the place you want it, so it is easy to reach and begin your plumbing project. I use my right hand for the loader and shift gears with my left hand. The new loader valve (for power beyond) has a small third connection (sump) that must be routed to sump/drain of some kind. The key here is to source an OPEN-CENTER valve capable of at least 12 GPM/2500 psi and has the ability to have a POWER-BEYOND connection installed at the outlet port.
