Topic: All Crop DrillPosted: 21 Nov 2016 at 5:14pm |

I am in the processes of restoring a snap coupler All Crop Drill. I didn't realize how many little parts a drill has until we took it all apart. That's one lot of blasting and painting. I need the rubber hoses for the grain and the grass seed. I have asked a few dealers but they all said that Agco no longer offers them. Does any one have any suggestions of what I could use in place of them or some where that I could find some?

I remember going through this before, forgotten most of it but do recall about a hose on Great Plaines Drill, small grain hose recalling after renting a GP drill to sew native grass and seeing them on the small grain box, might have to trim length. I never completed the All-Crop, sold without going on with it.

I got mine from a local AC dealer. He had 11 in stock and was going to order more.
He didn't have the grass seed tubes in stock but said they were available. unfortunately he is now out of business. Bob

Thanks this is a big help. I didn't want to find out after all this work that I was just going to have a lawn ornament (not that I would ever store it outside).

I can find the tubes for the fertilizer and the grain. But I can't seem to find the smaller tube for the grass seed. Does great plains use this tube and I am just not finding it or does someone else? It is a 3/4" id tube 23 1/2" long.

Sounds like any kind of 3/4 in hose should work.

I don't know if a regular hose would flex enough. The original hose is pleated.

Not sure how accurate you want the restoration but continental has a similar rubber flex hose for radiators that might work. The smallest they have is 1 1/4. Just a thought

I could maybe get a picture of one of the original smaller tubes, as I have one left on the drill I'm working on. I'll work on that picture later today. Maybe have one of the larger ones too. Need all of the remaining ones, though as Rick does. Dave

Here are a couple pictures of the "surviving" original tubes I got with the snap couple drill I acquired a couple months ago. Hope this helps to identify where new/similar ones can be obtained or if anyone has some of these in their stock. It takes 22 of the larger ones to be complete and 11 of the smaller ones. And Rick, sorry, I didn't mean to still your post, but as I'm also looking for these tubes thought I'd join in on the discussion. Tkx, Dave

I think I have all the parts except the hoses and I have to make some of the wires that hold the hoses. I have just about everything panted except the grass seed box and the fertilizer auger. I have a lot of reassembly ahead of me. But thanks for the offer.

No I never thought of that. Do they still make grass seeders?

As far as I know, saw a nice one last year at auction and the bidding was fierce and fast. And expensive $$$$.
