Now that I have them, I am not sure of the correct placement of all.
Is there a reference out there that gives the location/placement of the decals? |

Little late now, but before I blasted down my sheet metal, I measured and laid out on paper where the original decals were.

Dave - Rub it in.
![]() I been thru the ops and repair manual and here is where I stand now On not knowing the location of the following: 1. Snap Coupler 2.Big (4X4) one with black lettering AC Repair Parts (About the oil filter element). 3. Dry Air Cleaner - i suppose it goes on the side of the canister under the hood. 4. Now the other question. When i got this tractor it had the triangular emblem/decal on the rear of the seat. My decal set came with a 1 1/2X11 1/2 Allis Chalmers decal in it. Lo and behold as I was turning pages like the Dr. suggested i came across a pic of that decal on the back of the deluxe seat. Anyone know the story on that? thanx |

The latest deluxe seats were all black cushion and seat frame and had the larger triangle decal. Earlier seats were cream/black cushion and cream seat frame and the decal was different...ALLIS-CHALMERS I think.

On a 45, the snap coupler decal goes on the left side of the snap coupler bell and the air cleaner goes on the outside of the air cleaner. I never put on my air cleaner decal. I think it looks better without it.

Dave I had the same questions on 1 and 2 since mine were long gone after my D15 was painted several years ago.
I thought that the 4x4 one went on the oil filter canister itself as I have seen folks sell multi packs of those decals for filters. I was going to paint a wix filter cream and install it on the filter unless someone knows for sure the correct spot. |

Well Dr. we are going to make this an early one. The seat pan is cream and the replacement cushions are cream and trimmed in black.
On a different note, i cannot believe that no one out there knows where that snap coup0ler decal goes. ![]() |

I was told to be careful using the operators manual as a reference. Many of those photos were of proto type tractors and production may change a few things. Same goes for early sales literature. I know of several examples
