Topic: Radcliffe Iowa Auction soonPosted: 28 Sep 2016 at 4:59pm |

I picked up an advertiser paper at Ames today. There is an auction at Radcliffe Iowa October 8, 2016 with some Allis equipment and tractors. Its on site and on line, bidding online is already open. There is a 10% buyer's premium for on line bids, but not for on site bids. http://wmgauction.hibid.com/catalog/85050/absolute-farm-acreage-auction/
Its not my equipment and I doubt I'll be a bidder though its not far from home. Gerald J. |

The 82-T mower looks real good, think you might have trouble bolting the
"AC wheel weights" on an AC tractor. |

A buyer's premium at an auction means the buyer pays in this case 10% over the final bid price. So you bid $100 but pay the auctioneer $110. For this auction applies only to on line bids, not to live bids on site. But with live on line bidding the on site auction will appear that the auctioneer is pulling bids out of the air.

Never did this before, so if I bid on something now (online) I will not know if I won the bid until the item is auctioned off? If I would really want an item, I would have to be online as it is auctioned off?

I went to this sale. Some results if my memory is any good.
WD $1400 D17 W/loader $4600 Roto Baler (orange top new, belts) $375 82T mower $675 I was second place bidder on this and why I went to the sale. 5 bottom AC plow not sure what model $150 1816 case skid steer (low hours) $5800 that one shocked me. |

I went early but didn't stay. I didn't see anything I was willing to pay for either tools or the pocket sized skid steer.
I think the AC 5 bottom plow is a 9000, for sure not the same as my 2000. Lift cylinder up front with link and the same hitch as shown for the 9000 in my plow frames parts book. That little skid steer probably spent a long time in turkey or hog houses cleaning aisles. The location was organized well for such a sale. I didn't do better at the Radcliffe garage/yard sales. Very few tools. Gerald J. |
