A friend of mine has decided to sell his One-Eighty gas so I'm wondering what the fair value might be, I checked around tractorhouse, etc. and really only find diesels. Here are some pictures, I think it looks good, appears to be original paint. I haven't heard it run yet, he says it stays in all gears. Serial number 8432 per Norm's book it is a 69 model. I don't need it but I'd like to have it, what do you guys think? Thanks, John.

went to an auction a couple years ago, (green dealer selling out) saw a 190 gasser go for $10,500. I bid up to $7500 on it and it kept going! (brought more than 2- 4020 diesels they had there!

You never know about auctions I bought the 190 XT gas I owned for a few years at an auction for $2100 looked, ran and operated good. Around here it would take a real good 185 diesel to bring $6500. |

Jordan, what is that lever with white top behind shifter in second pic? Can't visualize that on either of our 180's, been a long time ago thought I remembered all.

Decent looking 200 brought 4500 at auction here last spring. I'd say more like 5000. It IS just a 65 HP gas tractor with no weights.
The brake lock is that little rod you can barely see sticking up next to the brakes. I'm not sure what the while handle is. My 185 doesn't have one. Dang it Jordon. Now you're making me want to go chop corn silage. It's that time of year, and it's been several year now... Edited by Allis dave - 12 Sep 2016 at 6:54am |

In our area, it would do well to bring $2500. There really doesn't seem to be much market for bigger gas tractors around here.

By all rights, a 180 gas is one of the more rare Allis tractors, 1500 total made.

I paid $6250 for mine 11 years ago. It had 1101 original hours on it and condition to match but the tires were original to 1969 and needed replaced so that added to the overall cost as I upgraded tire sizes front & back and had to buy all new rims & rear centers.. I have 1400 hours on it now. I agree it's a more rare variant but still think $6500 should give you VERY nice copy if you are going to spend that much. Mike

3,500 would kill it anywhere in the country. I had a mint one l traded a guy a month ago, figured it was worth 5,000 . 4,500 on the high side. 180 gas has to be something grandpa or dad had, for most people to want.

There has been a clean looking one on Craiglist in the western part of VA for two months, asking $4900. Believe it says it has newer tires also.

Here in ontario we have two 185 late model tractors, one has year around cab the other open station. Both tractors had fresh engines and have been repaired properly (full teardown) for jumping out of third gear. Couldn't get an offer at 4 grand for either one. So still have them. Worth more than that to have the extra tractor around now and again.

The gassers don't bring too much around here anymore. A diesel like that would fetch around $4000 to $5,500 around here in good shape. A little over half that for a gasser.

Those 4020 Diesels must have been rough as hell. It is insane what some people will pay for those things. Around here you can't hardly give a gas tractor over 40 HP away anymore I don't care what color it is or what condition it is in. Anything over 40 HP is too big for a garden and real farmers don't want them anymore. Edited by VAfarmboy - 18 Sep 2016 at 1:02am |

There is a good looking Oliver 1655 diesel over in WVA for sale too on CL for $4700.I've owned and operated both and for even close to the same $$$ I'd buy the 1655 but it looks like neither one is selling. There was a 180 diesel on the SW VA CL a while back for $4000 it must not have sold either.Gas tractor ain't doing much I bought a good Oliver 1600 gas over at the Rushville auction for $2200. |

Yeah, they bought a JD 4x4 loader and cab and the 180 doesn't get used much. He said for the money, it will sit until sold.
He has a 200 also that is sitting now.

I'm thinking $4600 should buy it. Personally, I wouldn't give higher than that for a gasser. So - John, did you buy it?
