I used a B series belt - think a B58 - but then i have my machine modified with a Alternator for charging battery and a starter motor with solonoid so it's key start .

I took the pulley from a 78 GMC 427 truck engine alternator - 2 groove pulley - narrow belt - chucked in lathe and opened up to accept the B belt - bore of pulley fits any 10SI alternator and with small size and deep belt - it charges well.  Cast iron pulley so easy to cut deeper and wider . | |
