I'd say 2700 is a good price if the tractor is as good as you say it is.

$2700 is way high in my opinion but its all what you want.I picked up a D15 a while back
with PS overall good tractor figure I had about $1900 in it and thought that was enough.I like my CA but it sure isn't a D15.You'd be real distressed to hear what I paid for my CA(LOL) |

I'm with Gary. I have not seen a CA I would drop that much coin on. I would rob the piggy bank for a sweet D15 though.

WELCOME to the forum! No way is a CA worth $2700 in WI unless it the first serial # maybe. I couldn't sell a wide ft CA for $1500 last month. Tractor prices went down this year, wide ft CA price should start at $1500, narrow ft less.

CAs have definitely taken a hit on the value department in the last couple years. Not sure why. Few years back a CA averaged around the $2-2500 area. More if restored nice. Seems they are starting to fall towards B and C values.

I think it's for the same reason Gary mentioned. There are a lot of D15's out there for not much more than what CA's used to sell for and they are 10 times the tractor. CA's are just a glorified B/C.

If you got the coin and like it then why not? You'll enjoy the tractor much more than playing with the money still in your wallet.

Before I would give any over 1K, I would have to check the thrust bearing by trying to pry the crank fore and aft with a screw driver. If the crank moves noticeably, the engine needs work and will cost you another 1-2 K to fix.
