Starter for D15 series II gas Delco Remy part number 1107758.
Does this number cross over for a starter from a different source ?
eg NAPA etc.

be careful.. might be 6 volt or 12 volt.
this is assuming D-15 is similar to D-14...
count teeth on pinion gear 9 teeth=12 volt, 10 teeth 6 volt
I KNOW 6 volt starters for D-14 have metal 'brush band' on them and 10 teeth and will NOT fit a real 12 volt D-14.....

All D15s are 12 volt, so no problems there.  A local shop should be able to rebuild yours.
