Came across this tractor while looking through photos and thought it was a really good looking tractor. You guys know anything about it?

I know that before they were called Silver King they were called Plymouth. But they got into a legal battle with the auto maker and lost thus the name change. That is all I know about them. They are really rare and I have never seen one in person. VIA tractorhouse... The Silver King tractor brand was created when
manufacturer Fate-Root-Heath found itself in a battle with Chrysler over the
Plymouth brand name. Fate won the fight, having built Plymouth-brand vehicles
long before Chrysler, but sold the name to the automaker. Taking a cue from the
silver paint on the tractors, the Silver King brand was born. Silver King
tractors could be considered utility/industrial tractors ahead of their time,
and were popular with factories. The Silver King tractor line was sold to
Mountain State Fabricating in 1954 as parent company Fate-Root-Heath sought to
focus on their locomotive business. Mountain State had only a brief production
run before closing and the Silver King line ended.

Built in Plymouth, Ohio, not too far from Lima. I worked with a guy as a teen the dealer used to haul them there and they drove them back to the dealership. Had a fast road gear and there were a few of them around here. The factory has a construction company in it now and I've delivered trucks to them. A lot of history there.

Aside from an AC  that is a beautiful tractor, I think it's the silver paint and the single front wheel, looks fast just sitting still.

Some had road gears that were insane High, if I remember right, above 25 MPH!

A guy here in town is a big Silver King collector plus his AC's. Has a wide front industrial that is pretty cool. Tracy Martin

That's a model 42. It is a later version built with a Continental engine, as opposed to the early ones built with a Hercules. It is still capable of reaching speeds of 30MPH.

Wonder how safe that felt driving 30 mph,lol. I can remember driving 30mph on my big red and it was safe until you decided to turn hard, or hit the brakes while turning,lol.

I just rebuilt a carburetor for one of our customers lately for a Silver King. If I remember correctly, the guy near me that sells Tractor parts had an early Silver King inside that had the Plymouth name down the front of it. Glenn in PA, or Alan NJ might remember that Tractor inside Harold's garage. I think he sold it a couple years ago....
