Have a 17 that has altenator that was not wired. Does anyone have a pic and do I still use the regulator which still has wires on it? I think it should have a built in regulator????????? Don

If you're going to use an internal regulated "SI" series Alternator, you would remove the OEM VR. If your Alternator is the older style "DN" series, then you would use the OEM VR in conjunction with the DN Alternator.... |

If you are using the SI Alt be sure you wire the key into proper position in the circuit or you will find the Alt will produce voltage to coil and you will not be able to shut of tractor.

A purist would wire the remote sense directly to the battery. It would be a good idea to fuse this wire somewhere near the battery.

Thanks Guys, I got it all done and works fine. Had some time comsumeing problems, had to find the cracked wires and one broken end that didn't look bad. All turned out fine. Thanks again Don
