I just purchased a 700 series planter.  Four row wide.  It is in really nice shape and I am wondering if anyone has any good information on these units.  Problem areas I need to watch for.  Or common breaks.  I also am looking for a parts book for it.  I do not really know if it is a 700 series but the book the guy gave me says it is a 700 series.  It has metal fertilizers boxes and plastic seed boxes.  He also gave me a bunch of extra plates too.  He said that some of them were JD plates.  Is it common for them to fit into a AC planter.  Like I said I am looking for any information.  Thanks very much    Rob

I'm not familiar with a 700 planter, but A-C made a 770 planter. As far as I know it used the 77 Air-Champ planter units. The JD plates will work in the A-C units with an adapter. I bought a set from Lincoln Ag Products in NE. There are usually Operator and Parts manuals on eBay. Do a google search for A-C Planters or a search on eBay for the same thing, and you should be able to identify your model.  Good luck.
