Nice find I used to own RC8  Be carfull when you staighten the steering wheel they are no longer available and are unique to the RC. If the front rims are shot you can buy just the rims and use the centers in the new rims . as said you have the correct bolts on the rear rims, use a torch/be carfull not to break them  If you do Tom MN might be able to help you get replacements.

Nice original condition.

A great find.  Definitely a keeper.

Get a rain cap on that exhaust pipe real quick.

Amazed at the rear rims. Can't see any rust around valve stems.

Could be original tires.

A rare tractor.

Congratulations

Great find! Curious about the steering wheel. Do you think that it's the original? I would like to know what the diameter is. The RC that Dad's working on (ser.#1175) had an old truck steering wheel, but the previous owner also provided a NOS RC steering wheel that was purchased by his Dad in the late 40s to put on this tractor, but never got around to it. It still had the original hang tag on it! They bought this RC from the original owner in 1944 with the improper steering wheel already in place. The NOS replacement steering wheel looks just like the ones on a styled WC or WD but is a smaller diameter. The larger diameter WC type ones are easily sourced but to my knowledge the smaller diameter RC type have never been reproduced. Keep us posted on your progress! Kip

Looks nicely complete with all the correct stuff.

Kip-Utah, I would say that is the original steering wheel.  They were completely coated to the center hub.  Here is a picture Charlie Widlund's at the Albert City show:

And here is a picture of my grandpa's when it was still new, you can see the coated steering wheel:

was the belt pulley the same as a WC  or different i see the two in the pics have a seam in them the wheels are all good the fenders are the only bad parts on it and as far as i can tell the paint is what came on it in 1939 the decals on the hood is the same as the one in the pics was the steering wheel also painted orange

Patrick, that is an excellent find.  I can't think of another RC with that level of 'patina', especially the original decals.  Each person's tastes are different.  I drool at the sight of original paint and decals (throw in a little caked-on grease), while others appreciate a nice, complete restoration.  I've got a little of both though.  That's what makes the hobby interesting.  Keep us posted on your progress!
