On a C. I have regular tractor tires now, size 9-24's and have a chance to get some 16.9-24 turf tires.  Will these fit on my rims?  Or are they just too wide?  I use it for just cutting grass right now.
Thanks

They are a bit on the wide side for 9" rims. They would be shaped like donuts. And they would weight half what the C does.

I would probably want to go with at least 12" wide rims when mounting 16.9 tires. They are going to be a bit oversize for a C. I have a set of 13.6 24 AG tites  on 11'' rims on a CA and they look OK. Some of the wide 24'' compact Japanese tractor rims will bolt up on AC B/C wheel centers.  Look for either the 4 loop or the Z bar mounts with 19 3/4 bolt center spacing.

Ted, don't know what you can handle or have the tools for, but you could always take the rims you got and take a torch or plasma cutter and split the rims and then get some flat stock and widen them out.   I have a set here that I want to do that way and my brother has a plasma cutter to do the splitting part.   I have used it once on a small rim and it does a nice job and makes a pretty clean cut.   Just make sure that you add space the right way keeping in mind how much the rim will offset being wider.   Good luck and Merry Christmas.
