    Posted: 08 Sep 2011 at 8:27am
I finally found the boxes that had all of my collectable cars, machining projects from college, and just general curio stuff. My dad had given me grand dad's little AC models some time ago. Pulled them out this morning to show my son.

Thought you guys would want a look. Has anyone out there seen these before? Any back ground you could provide?

Thanks  Jeff

They look like they are made sturdier than the newer models. Just like real equipment.

Jeff,

These were made by Lionel as loads for train cars.  They sat on top of flat cars 6816 & 6817 I believe.  Hard to find as the plastic would break very easily.  Even better of course if you had the original boxes.

Thanks for the info Cory. Sure wish I had the boxes too. They are really detailed models. The tracks on the dozer really turn, blade moves up and down. Same with the scraper.

I think mine are still buried in the Garden from way back when. I wore them out moving little dirt piles.
