I just finished reading the June issue of DIESEL PROGRESS which is the annual engine yearbook.  AGCO/Sisu is testing their new V-12 700 hp engine and expect to have it in production in 2013. The first applicatiion will be in their largest agricultural equipment and will also offer it for sale to others. They are also building new 3 and 4 cylinder engines under 134 hp that will be ready in for production in mid 2012 and built in Brazil and the new plant in China. Are they going to build a replacement for the 'BIG BUD' 16V 747?

I don't know if the 45000 V-8 ever went into production. Sam T from Georgia who posts on here said they had one that was to be put into a tractor puller either when he worked for A-C as a tech rep in Georgia or at the college he worked at. They never got around to the project and all of a sudden A-C wanted the engine returned. Also talked to a guy here in Ontario who worked for the A-C industrial dealer in the late 60's and he said that he saw the 45000 engine being tested in the HD-41 crawler. They would run about 1000 hrs and grenade. No mentiion of that in any book that I've read. My bet is few if any exist. I have a preliminarly spec sheet on the V-8 and V-12. I've seen and heard the V-12 run. The 25000 MK II engine I own with Darryl (WA) was to be part of the deal to purchase the V-12 but the seller changed his mind.
