If you get a chance to take the SS Badger across Lake Michigan do it.  You can do a round trip with just you for pretty reasonable.

My family stays on Hamlin, at Peaceful Acres.  Are you going to be doing any fishing up there?

I live 12 miles N.E. of Ludington other than the state park and the Badger not much here.  Check the west michigan old engine club web site to see if they have anything going on and maybe white pine village also.  I go to civiization(one of the I states) if I want to see equipment.  The Traverse City area has alot more to offer.  Go to the "Pure michigan website to see whats going on anywhere in the state.  Fishing has been terrrible the last couple years the worst I have seen it in my life. We had a huge storm in 08 that ruined fishing in the inland waters in Mason/Manistee counties.
