Good Morning all, I received a nice tiller from an uncle of mine, but I'm having trouble finding any information on it. I'm wondering if anyone could tell me any information about the thing and possilby help me find where I could get a manual. The tiller has a Briggs & Stratton 4HP engine. It's a walk behind tiller. Model 100992 1033 Type 03 Code 6712146 Any help or information on the tiller would be greatly appreciated. I don't even know how old the thing is. Thank you in advance for your time. Barry Blanken |

Are those numbers off the engine? Are there any markings on the tiller to indicate who made it or do you just need info on the engine? A couple of days ago I went to the B&S web site and looked at info for an engine on a mower I have that is over 15 years old.

Barry, hard to read your post in that color,FYI. Assuming it is a AC Tiller, quick look in the FastMovingParts Catalog shows a dozen or so models. Appears the later models were not offered in 4 HP, maybe making yours a earlier model. I cannot verify the model number based on HP with this catalog. 1 st version maybe a Roto-Bee 2440-R, which may be 4HP. Then 2650 [5hp?], yours may have been repowered also.

I agree, I'm not sure why my color changed. When I typed it in it was black. I apologize. The tiller really has no place where I can find a model number. The info I got was off the engine. Is there a specific location on the tiller where I should see the serial number? All the stickers ar worn or ripped off. The tiller has a extension bar out the back that is ajustable in height. The tiller also has both forward and reverse on the left side and the clutch on the right. The tiller itself is white and the engine is red. I'll post a picture tonight when I get home.

Those read a lot like Briggs engine numbers. I think the first 2 numbers of the code is the year of mfg, making the engine a 67. You can go to Briggs's web page and type in that info and get a PDF of the engine parts/operators manual.
