A question for the police, I have heard some say that the bezel the ring on the tailight was crome. Is this true?

I don't know about your "G", but Dad swears that the bullet tail light on his 1948 WD (S/N 5109) had the chrome collar from the get-go.

I have seen them both ways and I'm pretty sure they were original.
