I bought an IB a couple of weeks ago. It looks to have been yellow originally, I don't know if I can bring myself to paint it yellow, I've never seen a yellow one in person. What do you all think about the yellow paint?

The IB could be ordered in any color I think, many were yellow that went to cities etc.
You can order a model in either color here: http://www.orangespectacular.com/2011toyform.html |

Mine has 4 different colors on it and yellow appears to be the first but I'm going with PO#1 when I do it.

I bought an IB a couple weeks ago also. It looked like it was yellow, and did not have any evidence of ever being repainted. After dissasembly and spraying areas with penitrating oil, I noticed that the areas I had used penatrating oil on had turned orange! I think the old enamel has faded to yellow. I know they sold them yellow if ordered that way, but I will be using PO 1, and I think that is what it was from the factory.

They can look good yellow too! If it was originally yellow, I think I would paint it yellow.
Here is a link to a pic of a yellow one, I believe it was from a guy here, he'll probably pipe up...

I guess yellow doesn't look half bad.
