Will a Series IV D17 rear portion of the tractor bolt up to the earlier series? If so where is the best place to split, bell housing?
Reason I’m asking is I want to take the improved rear of a series IV and install to an earlier series narrow front. The narrow front ends are difficult to find in my area in a series IV. Is it easier to swap out front ends, from a wide front to a narrow if they are the same across series? Thanks Edited by AC ORANGE - 10 hours 15 minutes ago at 8:11pm |

On a good day, at my age, I could remove a series 4 wide front axle and replace it with a NF pedestal is under 2 hours. That is the only way to go in your situation.
